Understand the child beneath the behaviour.
If you’re raising a highly sensitive, emotionally intense, autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or otherwise neurodivergent child, you already know that many parenting approaches don’t seem to fit.
You’ve tried being calmer.
You’ve tried being firmer.
You’ve read the books.
You’ve followed the advice.
And yet you still find yourself wondering:
“What am I missing?”
The Safe & Seen Parenting Circle helps you understand what is happening beneath your child’s behaviour so you can respond with greater confidence, connection, and effectiveness.
Not through behaviour management.
Not through rewards and punishments.
But through understanding.
Because when we understand what behaviour is communicating, everything changes.
You know your child is struggling.
Maybe they:
- Hold it together at school and fall apart at home
- Experience big emotions that overwhelm them
- Struggle with anxiety, friendships, school, transitions, or change
- Seem more sensitive than other children
- Become overwhelmed by sensory input
- Move quickly into fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown
- Resist demands and everyday routines
- Leave you feeling exhausted, confused, or worried
And perhaps the hardest part is that deep down you know they’re a good kid.
You can see their strengths.
You can see their heart.
But you’re not always sure how to help.
Why traditional parenting advice often doesn’t work
Many parenting approaches focus on changing behaviour.
But behaviour is only the visible part of the story.
Beneath behaviour we often find:
- Nervous system overwhelm
- Sensory differences
- Emotional needs
- Developmental differences
- Stress and anxiety
- Disconnection
- Difficulty communicating experiences that are hard to put into words
When we focus only on behaviour, we often miss the message underneath it.
Inside the Safe & Seen Parenting Circle, we begin with understanding.
We explore the often unseen aspects of relationship — attunement, nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and connection — because these profoundly influence a child’s wellbeing, behaviour, learning, and capacity to thrive.
I help parents become translators of their child’s experience.
Because when parents understand what is driving behaviour, they are able to respond in ways that create lasting change.
Imagine if…
- You understood your child’s unique wiring and temperament.
- You recognised what behaviour may be communicating instead of constantly wondering what you were doing wrong.
- You felt more confident responding to big emotions.
- You stopped second-guessing yourself after every difficult day.
- You knew how to support your child without relying on constant rewards, punishments, or battles.
- You experienced fewer power struggles and more cooperation.
- You felt calmer and more capable during the moments that currently overwhelm you.
- You became the expert on your own child.
- Your child felt safe, understood, accepted, and free to become who they truly are.

I’m Mira Watson — a parenting mentor, craniosacral therapist and academic tutor for neurodivergent children.
For years, I’ve worked closely with families raising children with big emotions, sensory overwhelm, and nervous systems that don’t fit the usual mould.
I’ve sat with parents after difficult school meetings.
I’ve worked with children who mask all day and fall apart at home.
I work closely with families — in their homes, and in my clinic.
A lot of what we do isn’t about behaviour at all.
♥ It’s about what’s happening in the body
♥ in the relationship
♥ in the micro-moments most people miss
And when those shift, everything else starts to follow.
This Circle is a way to make that support more accessible.
Because parents shouldn’t have to figure this out alone.
The way we work inside the Circle
There is a path to this.
Not rigid.
But something you can come back to
when things feel messy
Inside the Circle, we look at things like:
• seeing behaviour differently
• noticing what’s happening in your own body
• steadying yourself in the moment
• supporting your child without escalating things further
• repairing when it goes wrong (because it will sometimes)
• building something more stable over time
It’s practical.
It’s relational.
And it builds slowly.
No pressure.
Just a place to start.
